Need to Post Anonymously?
If you need support with a sensitive issue and prefer to remain anonymous, Facebook now offers an “Anonymous” posting feature in groups. In our Mums of the Shire Community Facebook group, you can simply press the “Anonymous” button when posting. We’ve highlighted this feature in the screenshot below and you can find instructions on how to use it via this Facebook Help Centre link.
However, we understand that not everyone has access to this feature yet (likely due to a Facebook glitch). If you don’t see the option to post anonymously or if you’re having trouble, you can still submit your post to us, and we’ll share it on your behalf.
Important Notes:
- We will always post on sensitive topics (such as early pregnancy, mental health, or relationship concerns), but not for general inquiries like “Where can I buy xyz?”
- We won’t post medical questions that should be addressed by your GP. Please consult a doctor if needed.
- Political posts will not be accepted.
Before Submitting:
- Search the Group: Many questions may have been answered already, so please use the ‘search’ function in the MOTS Facebook group before submitting an anonymous post request.
- Ask a Friend: If you trust a friend, you could ask them to post on your behalf.
- Support Services: If you need medical, counselling, or health services, please check our Local Services Directory for helpful resources.
Expectations:
- Anonymous posts are processed Monday – Friday between 9 am and 5 pm (urgent matters excluded). We aim to post within 24-48 hours of submission. For urgent matters, consider asking a trusted friend to post for you.
Verification:
- To verify that you are a genuine member of Mums of the Shire, please use your real name and valid email address when submitting a request. If we can’t confirm your membership, we won’t be able to post. We reserve the right not to post questions that are inappropriate or break group rules. Rest assured, all posts are treated with discretion.
