Need to Post Anonymously?
We know that sometimes, you need support but don’t feel comfortable putting your name to it. That’s completely okay – and we’re here to help.
While Facebook’s anonymous posting feature was helpful for sensitive topics, it unfortunately opened the door to some not-so-supportive behaviour in the comments. To protect our community, we’ve turned the feature off in our Mums of the Shire Facebook group.
But don’t worry – if you’re navigating something personal and need advice or support from the group, you can still submit your post anonymously via the form below. If it’s a sensitive issue, we’ll post it on your behalf.
What We’ll Share Anonymously
-
Sensitive or personal topics (think: mental health, early pregnancy, relationship concerns, etc.)
-
Anything that genuinely needs a safe and supportive space
What We Won’t Share
-
General questions like “Where can I buy xyz?”
-
Medical questions that should be answered by a health professional
-
Political rants or posts that go against our group rules
Before You Submit
-
Search the Group First – Your question may have already been answered.
-
Ask a Trusted Friend – If you’re stuck, a friend might be happy to post for you.
-
Need Professional Help? – Check out our Local Services Directory for support services in the Shire.
How It Works
-
Anonymous posts are reviewed and (if appropriate) published by our admin team Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
-
We do our best to post within 24–48 hours.
-
For anything urgent, please ask a friend to post for you.
Verification
To keep things secure and respectful, we ask that you submit using your real name and a valid email address so we can verify you’re a member of the group. Your identity will never be shared with the group.
We reserve the right not to post submissions that breach group rules or don’t fall under the “sensitive” category.
