I spoke to a few shire mum friends recently and they told me that they are truly, deeply, sadly lonely.

Mara is a WHAM who helps mummas get their precious life long memories out of dusty boxes, off phones and hard drives and back into their lives with her professional photo organising service.

Meet this week’s local mum – Jess is a working mum, currently pregnant with her second child and is looking forward to a night out with the girls once bubs is born!

Meet this week’s local mum Brittany who was born and bred in the Shire and is a nurse & first time mum to a gorgeous 15 month old boy Leo Ray.

Meet this week’s local mum Cara who grew up in the Southern Highlands but now calls The Shire home (and totally gets why no one ever ventures over any bridges!)

Right now you go to Caringbah pub for kids eat free, but as you’re sitting there you look around and the memories come flooding back. You were young, dressed in sequinned boob tubes attending the one, the only, Coyotes FOAM party..

It’s pretty fab being a Mum in the Shire! The community, resources and area are just the beginning. I’m Sammi! Mum to Evie who is nearly 3, and Emma a tiny 4 weeks old.

‘Me time’ used to be pedicures, nights out with the girls, shoe shopping and sleeping in. And then BAM – kids come along and things change..

So it’s International Women’s Day. Wooop de doo. What are you going to do about it? Nothing?
