Our popular all-ages class allows mum, dad and the kids to train in the one class. This is both a time saver and a unique opportunity to bond while developing skills together in a fun, dynamic environment.

We are skilled at differentiating our teaching and know our students, and how they learn.
Experienced Instructors Who Care
Our instructors are highly trained and experienced in teaching kids and families, giving each student individual attention to help them reach their potential. Our chief instructor Sensei Alison Peachey 6th Dan, a school teacher and mum, has been teaching and practicing karate for over 30 years. Through example and mentorship, she has grown the number of girls and women in the club to almost parity, clearly demonstrating that martial arts is of significant benefit to all ages and genders.
A Proven Pathway to Competitive Success in Sport Karate
With instructors who are former national champions and representatives, and current international referees, we offer a strong and proven pathway for those pursuing karate as an invigorating sport. Our club boasts current Australian Open champions and previous national representatives and World Championship competitors. Training with Ishinryu gives you the foundation and opportunities to excel at the highest levels of karate competition, leading to state and national representation.
