Like it or not, girls are born facing an uphill battle. Though many of us hoped it would be different by the 21st century, women are still paid less and victimised more than their male counterparts.
Raising girls to be smart, strong and independent is key to paving a fairer future. To raise girls this way, we need to ensure they’re receiving an education that reinforces what we’re teaching them at home.
What kind of education do you wish for your daughter?
Is it the kind that encourages her to be daring and brave? An education that pushes societal, academic and creative boundaries and challenges the perceptions of what a woman can and should do? One that teaches your daughter about responsibility and how to contribute to the world, both actively and positively?
Then you’ve come to the right place.
This is the kind of education the MLC School promises to deliver to your daughter. Their mission is to ‘educate young women to be fearless thinkers with moral courage and compassion to be agents of change in their own lives and the lives of others.’
Scholarships for Year 5 girls in 2022
In exciting news, MLC School has recently introduced scholarships for girls commencing Year 5 in 2022, so they can support you on your journey to equip your daughter with these strengths before she even begins High School – during key formative years of her life.
The brand new All-Rounder Scholarship for girls entering Year 5 in 2022 is open to both prospective students and those currently enrolled in Year 4 at the School.
The All Rounder Scholarships are awarded to applicants who demonstrate significant academic potential, together with achievement and potential in two or more of the following areas: Leadership, Cultural/creative/performing arts, Service or Sport.
MLC School believes that Year 5 is the time for girls to take a leap in terms of independence, responsibility and organisation – it is all about providing a platform for girls to step up to their full potential and become role models for the younger girls in the Junior School. This new scholarship provides more girls with the opportunity to access the School’s unique upper primary program to gain the confidence for a smooth transition to the Senior School.
There are also scholarships available for girls entering Year 7 to Year 10.
