If you want to give your daughter the best chance at breaking the glass ceiling, you’ll know her education needs to be second to none. But what does that look like for you and your family?
Does it encourage bravery? Is it an education that challenges perceptions of what a woman is capable of? Do you hope it teaches your daughter about responsibility and how to contribute to the world? Are you looking for her to become a well-rounded, multi-faceted individual able to pursue her own interests?
If so, MLC School in Burwood may be the perfect fit for your daughter. Their mission is to ‘educate young women to be fearless thinkers with moral courage and compassion, to be agents of change in their own lives and the lives of others.’ And with private buses running from Cronulla and Illawong every day, you needn’t rule out the possibility of your fearless thinker benefitting from the best too.
Year 7 to Year 11 Scholarships for 2025 now open
MLC School offers an exciting opportunity for aspiring students seeking Year 7 to Year 11 scholarships, as they open their scholarship applications approximately 18 months prior to the desired year of entry. This early access allows students to plan ahead and secure their chance to shape a brilliant future.
Why MLC School?
MLC School believes in educating young women to be courageous, compassionate, capable of navigating change and able to lead by adapting to the multiple paths that their futures will take.
This prestigious school provides a socially progressive education, underpinned by its Uniting Church foundations. It boasts some of Sydney’s best teachers and a full range of facilities to enable young girls to explore their potential. These facilities include: a Centre for Design, Art and Technology (DART), an Aquatic Centre, a Music Centre, state-of-the-art food technology kitchens, multipurpose learning studios, collaborating spaces, science labs and dance studios.
Quality facilities are important, but more importantly, they’re a means for the School to focus on the development of the whole girl. From dancing, drama and debating to sports, music and science – whatever your daughter is passionate about or interested in exploring, there is a way to progress further with the guidance of specialist staff and the outstanding facilities on offer.
Of course, results are important and MLC School’s record here is strong. By offering both the HSC and International Baccalaureate for the final two years, girls can choose the best path to suit their own interests and study options after graduation. Three MLC School girls attained the maximum ATAR of 99.95 in 2022, carrying on a tradition of outstanding academic success (you can read more about the Class of 2022 results here).
