When parents first notice their child struggling with communication, social skills, or behaviour, their instinct is often to look into speech or occupational therapy. But what if there was another highly effective, evidence-based approach, one that used play to foster meaningful learning?
“Many parents feel lost when they first notice their child’s developmental differences. They want the best support, but traditional therapies can feel overwhelming. What many don’t realise is that ESDM therapy is both fun and engaging — while still delivering real results,” says Chloe Chui, founder of Little Blossoms Therapy Services.
Specialising in Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) Therapy, Chloe helps children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and global developmental delays develop essential skills through play in a way that feels natural, engaging, and effective.

What is ESDM Therapy?
ESDM Therapy is an evidence-based early intervention for children aged 12 months to 4.5 years. The ESDM approach combines principles from ABA, Pivotal Response Training, and the Denver Model of therapy to create a naturalistic, play-based intervention for young children with autism. Unlike traditional therapy settings, which can sometimes feel clinical, ESDM is delivered in a child’s everyday environment, at home or preschool, creating more learning opportunities in natural, everyday contexts.
“Children learn best when they feel supported, motivated, and understood — when they are the focus of positive, responsive interactions that promote their development,” Chloe explains. “That’s why ESDM therapy occurs in familiar settings, where children can develop skills through play and natural interactions, ensuring learning is integrated into their everyday routines.”
ESDM focuses on:
- Receptive & expressive communication
- Social, play and imitation skills
- Cognitive development
- Fine and Gross motor development
- Joint attention skills
As one of the few Certified ESDM Therapists in Sydney, Chloe has undergone rigorous training and mentorship through globally recognised institutions like the UC Davis MIND Institute and the University of Wollongong.
And the best part? ESDM Therapy is funded by the NDIS, making it accessible to more families seeking early intervention.
A Personalised Approach for Every Child
“At Little Blossoms Therapy Services, we believe every child has their own way of thinking, learning, and experiencing the world,” explains Chloe. She takes the time to understand each child’s strengths, challenges, ways of learning and unique personality to create a tailored intervention plan.
“I’ve worked with hundreds of children, and one thing I’ve learned is that every child thrives in their own way,” Chloe says. “The key is finding what works for them and creating opportunities for real, meaningful progress.”
Alongside ESDM Therapy, Chloe offers:
- Preschool Behaviour Therapy – Supporting children in coregulation, following instructions, group participation, and functional play with peers while advising teaching staff on behavioural strategies to support children’s development.
- Westmead Feelings Program – Teaching children to recognise intensity of different emotions, develop self-regulation skills, understand social cues, and enhance problem-solving abilities.
- Parent-EDSM (P-ESDM) or Project ImPACT Parent Training – Equipping parents with the knowledge and strategies to support their child’s development at home.
- On-Site Support in Schools and Preschools – Because learning doesn’t just happen in therapy sessions, but in everyday interactions with educators and peers
Early Intervention Without the Waitlist
For many families, the biggest challenge isn’t deciding to seek help, it’s finding a service without a months-long waitlist. Little Blossoms Therapy Services provides in-home and preschool-based therapy, meaning children can start learning in the environments where they feel most comfortable.
“I started this business because I saw so many families struggling to access the right support at the right time,” Chloe says. “Early intervention can make all the difference, and my goal is to make it as accessible as possible for families who need it.”
