Some Mums admittedly might be tucked up in bed well before midnight on New Year’s Eve (like me, for example…), but there are some fantastic options for those looking for a little bit more fun and adventure in their night.
Throughout the Sutherland Shire and across the suburbs, there are tons of events and activities for revellers with kids.
Some events start as early as 4 pm to allow the little ones to have heaps of fun and still get home to bed at a decent hour. These include concerts, dance parties, food trucks, jumping castles, face painting and heaps of other bits and bobs to keep the kids happy.
Or, if you’re looking for something more and are keen to venture out, there are plenty of great vantage points around Sydney for watching the family-friendly 9 pm fireworks. Families with young children can enjoy the 8-minute display and travel home before the late-night crowds arrive.
Having kids doesn’t mean the party stops – we have gathered up a great list of things you and your family can do this NYE to celebrate and ring in the new decade.
