Can you remember the last time you invested in yourself and did something truly indulgent, without a hint of mum-guilt? For many of us, a hot cup of tea is the closest we get to any kind of self-care.
Whether you’re sleep-deprived, stressed or in need of a general pick-me-up and time away from mum-life, endota spa Gymea has you covered. Located in a private and peaceful spot inside Gymea Tradies Club, the spa has more than 15 highly qualified therapists, all poised for healing and care.
YOU CAN’T POUR FROM AN EMPTY CUP
Megan Horsman, owner of endota spa Gymea, which opened its doors in 2012 believes everybody should be making time for personal care and wellness. She said: “It is the carers in our community who I believe are most deserving – the teachers, nurses, volunteers and of course the mothers who do all of the above full time!
“I am urging local mums to give themselves permission to take time out. After all, you cannot pour from an empty cup. Mums need to recharge and replenish so they can give their best selves to their families.”
Browsing the treatment menu for the spa reads like a roadmap taking you straight to bliss town. The Rejuvenate Package sounds particularly delicious, promising to offer a 120-minute total treatment, combining gentle body scrub, warm oil cocoon, relaxing massage and nourishing facial. The treatment promises to help ease stress and tension, and allow toxins to dissipate, leaving skin hydrated invigorated and refreshed.
How soon can we book?
ONGOING SELF-CARE
Megan encourages spa guests to think of treatments as ongoing self-care, and to schedule whenever they book a dentist appointment! The experience can be continued in the home with the wonderful endota spa range of relaxing essential oils, burners and diffusers, lovely egg lamps (perfect in nurseries!), heat packs, bath salts, organic teas or a new nurture range of skincare designed for pregnant and breastfeeding mums and safe to use on baby from birth. The gorgeous sleep mist has already been a hit with new mums!
endota spa Gymea also has beautiful treatments available for pregnant or breastfeeding mammas. Be sure to let your therapist know when booking, so they can tailor everything to your needs. Side-lying pregnancy massages are available, and these may be claimed with some health funds, so do make sure you mention this when booking to check you’re eligible for a rebate.
Every aspect of the experience from your arrival to when you leave has been carefully considered, so you can immerse yourself in the spa experience. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed into the relaxation lounge to enjoy a herbal tea before their treatment begins. The location within Gymea Tradies provides ample free, untimed parking, so there is no need to rush back to the outside world. And, you can stay a little longer and enjoy lunch in one of the Club’s many dining spots. With eight treatment rooms available, group and couples’ bookings can be easily accommodated.
So, mammas what are you waiting for? Book that babysitter and lose yourself in the tranquil oasis that is endota spa Gymea. This is an investment in you!
