There’s not a mum among us who couldn’t use more time to herself. Even mums who work flexible hours and have family support still have a long list of things they’d like to do in the time they get to themselves, but often end up working and running errands instead.

Most mums (and dads) are flat-out just trying to fit their work, laundry, grocery shopping and a bit of house cleaning in between the hours of the kids’ drop-off and pick-up. And it’s virtually unanimous that we’d find more time to exercise if we weren’t so busy and exhausted all the time!

Get fit
The recently reopened Tradies Caringbah now includes a convenient kids’ creche, and so long as you’re a member (and remain on Level 1 or 2) then how you choose to spend your time, while the kids are being cared for, is entirely up to you.
The sparkling new building renovation now features an open-plan Anytime Fitness on Level 1, which comes complete with a handy pram bay and change room. So if you’ve been meaning to find time to get fit you can now take advantage of the Play Space Creche and have your kids minded for up to 90 minutes while you work out. The gym holds classes to coincide with the creche sessions or you can use their state-of-the-art cardio equipment and weight machines, or engage the services of one of their experienced personal trainers to maximise your gym-time.
Get your work done
Do you need more time to get your work done? Maybe you’ve been working from home but are finding it a struggle to actually focus. Save yourself from the stress of trying to multi-task and from the inevitable feeling that you’re failing at everything.
Let the trained creche carers focus on entertaining your kids through age-appropriate games, toys, books, movies, puzzles and activities so you can give your undivided attention to your work. This will allow you to complete it more quickly and then give your undivided attention to your child when you return to them.
Find yourself a quiet corner in the Nor East Café, where there are laptop and phone charging stations provided, and you might begin to remember what productivity looks like!
Get together with the girls
Trying to coordinate the schedules of multiple mums is a near-impossible task. When you do finally find the time, you often end up spending half of it answering the demands of your kids or chasing after them.
Here’s your opportunity to have a Mother’s Group or catch-up with other friends with little ones, where the kids won’t hold all your attention! Book them into the Play Space Creche together so that you and your friends can have quality conversations while you enjoy a child-free breakfast or lunch in the beautiful Nor East Bistro.
Their delicious menu includes everything from healthy acai or sashimi bowls to lamb burgers, gnocchi and bacon and egg rolls.
We hope to see the Kid’s Club open in the evenings soon (as COVID restrictions ease) so that child-free dinners will be an option too.
Get respite!
Me-time for mums (and dads!) is in such short supply that sometimes we just want to sit quietly. Would you like to steal an hour to yourself- not to work, work-out or catch-up with anyone else- just to sit, breathe, drink a hot beverage while it’s hot, or a cold beverage while it’s cold and not have anybody speak to or touch you?
Sounds lovely, doesn’t it? You’re most welcome to use the Play Space Creche facilities so that you can go and do exactly that. Grab a quiet coffee in a corner to yourself and stare out the window, at your phone, read a book- whatever pleases you to de-stress! Return to your child rested, revitalized and ready to raise beautiful children.

There’s no judgement here! Whatever your reason for wanting to offload your kids for an hour or so, you can now do it at Tradies Caringbah.
You must be a member of the club (and the gym if you wish to use it) to book your child (aged 6 months to 6 years) into the Play Space Creche.
Not a member? No problem, you can find Tradie Caringbah membership benefits and details here and can join up quickly and easily upon arrival at reception.
The Play Space Creche is open 7 days a week with 2 sessions available every day. Book your child in from 9:45am – 11am or 11:30am – 1pm and staff will spend the time between sessions thoroughly cleaning the creche. It costs just $5 per session.
