You’ve probably heard talk about it for a while now, but the time has finally come- Woolworths is moving into Kirrawee.
That’s right, the ‘Fresh Food people’ have made a new home for themselves on Flora St, Kirrawee and we couldn’t be more excited!
What’s worth getting excited about?
Abundant fresh food
The brand new Woolworths store will include a bakery, delicatessen, fish market and fresh produce section. You can pick up artisan bread made with Australian Wheat flour in-store that morning, or put together an enviable platter with gourmet cheeses (both Aussie and imported), fresh-sliced deli meats, antipasto and more.
Don’t forget that Woolworths offer FREE fruit for kids, so your child can grab an apple, banana, or another piece of fruit on their way in, which might stop them from asking for everything they see!
Woolworths are supporting Aussie farmers by selling the “Odd Bunch” range of misshapen fresh produce, which is otherwise perfectly tasty. This helps farmers profit from all their produce, not just the pieces that look perfect, and it’s passed on to you at a lower price so everybody wins.
Direct to Boot
Also on offer will be a ‘Direct to Boot’ service which means you can order your groceries online and have them hand-delivered to your car so you don’t even need to get the kids out of the car let alone drag them around the shops. If you order before 1pm, they can even offer this service on the same day as you place your order.
Scan&Go Shopping
Have you heard about the Scan&Go app yet? It allows customers to scan products with their smartphone and pay in the app, before tapping off through a dedicated Scan&Go checkout. It’s the new way to shop which is fast, convenient and contactless and beats standing in a socially distanced line!
Dan Murphy’s
Kirrawee’s new Woolworths promises to bring plenty of new offerings, not least of which is a conveniently located Dan Murphy’s! The new Dan Murphy’s located beside the Woolworths will make it simple for you to grab your drink of choice at the same time as your weekly shopping. Their selection of wine, craft beer, cider or seltzer is unbeatable, so you won’t have to compromise on your favourite drop.
Convenient FREE Parking
Ample parking will be available so you can pull up and pop in without the hassle of circling a car park while you’ve got a crying baby or whiny kids in the back seat. Your first two hours of parking are free every day.
Supporting people in need
Woolworths has partnered with both Foodbank and Ozharvest to ensure that unsold food is not sent to landfill but rather fills the mouths of people in need of nutritious food. Last year they helped Ozharvest provide more than 2 million meals for people in need and they’re looking to beat that target this year.
