Giving birth is not pretty. Even if you’re not a mum yet you probably know this much. Guttural screams, sweaty hair, red exhausted faces, panting, puffing and cursing are not uncommon scenes in the delivery room. Post-birth is even less talked about and by no means a walk in the park either, the majority of both vaginal and cesarean births result in stitches, bleeding, pain and exhaustion. No matter what kind of birth you have, one thing’s for sure- on the other side of it, you will deserve the most amazing care, support and place to recover and begin life with your new baby!
You’ll find it at Kareena Private Hospital.
While they can’t eliminate the labours of childbirth, their second-to-none service will ensure that you have everything you need to feel:
– comfortable while you heal
– confident while you navigate your first few days as a new mum and
– celebrated for all you have just achieved.
Their premium service for mums-to-be is aptly titled “The Luxe Way” because it is indeed the deluxe way to bring a child into the world. This service is offered to all Kareena Private patients.

After what your body goes through during both pregnancy and childbirth, you deserve to be treated like royalty, and this is how you’ll feel at Kareena Private Hospital when you receive a complimentary high tea. The high tea is offered for you to enjoy with your partner and visitors. You will have the choice of which day you would like to receive your high tea, allowing you to plan a small celebration with your loved ones.
At Kareena Private Hospital they understand that your post-birth body will be hungry for nourishment! The Catering Department prepares a variety of top-quality, fresh meals and you’ll have the opportunity to view a menu each morning from which you may select meals according to your taste and dietary requirements.
And whether you need a snack to keep you going in between meals, or one in the middle of the night, you’ll be well looked after with 24-hour access to a patient pantry, filled with savoury snacks and light refreshments for you and your partner to enjoy.
Practical parenting support
More concerned about the new tiny human you’ve just brought into being? Don’t be! There’s nothing Kareena Private Hospital has not prepared for. You can help prepare with them by accessing the Antenatal education classes* even before your baby arrives. Post-birth you’ll receive personalised education classes in the comfort of your own room. These classes will empower you as a parent as they educate you on infant feeding, bathing and parenting skills during your hospital stay. Everything you need for your baby during your stay will also be supplied, including nappies, wipes, bedding, a bunny rug and nutrition for feeding if required.
If you’re a mum who plans to breastfeed, you’ll be forever grateful to have access to on-call lactation consultants during your time staying in the Maternity Ward. They can support you with correct technique, helping you understand whether your baby has latched properly, how often they need to feed, whether you should wake them for feeding and all manner of other tricky breastfeeding problems you might come up against.
Even after you’ve been discharged, you’ll have 24-hour access to an experienced midwife via telephone who can help answer any queries that you may have once home with your baby. So you can gain the assurance and confidence that you’re doing the right thing even once home.
Sound good? We thought so! Give yourself and your baby the most peaceful and positive start to your time together by choosing to give birth The Luxe Way, because what could be more important?
