If you’re a parent, it’s likely that you’ve come across the GymbaROO brand. Providing quality, from birth to five years for over 30 years, GymbaROO is now a national operation with centres popping up throughout Australia.
The latest GymbaROO centre has found a home in the heart of the Shire, at Gunnamatta Pavilion in Cronulla. So what can you expect from a typical class?
Every song sung, every game played and every activity at GymbaROO is specifically designed to increase a child’s capability to learn. Activities vary by age, but you and your little one can enjoy songs and games, parachutes, beanbags, balls and hoops, hand play, exercise, massage and more! Classes run for 45 minutes during school term and will be led by a specially trained, degree qualified, early childhood and primary school teacher.
GymbaROO structures its programs to ensure that each child has the opportunity to lay the crucial foundations for later learning. It does this by fostering the normal sequence of development appropriate to each child’s stage of development.
The philosophy behind it is backed by many experts, who agree on the impact milestone progression and early movement can have on a child’s development. Babies and children who have the right early movement experiences are found to have improved coordination, concentration, memory, perception and improved confidence, communication and socialisation skills.
In addition to the neurological and physical benefits of attending a class at GymbaROO, your little one will also spend some quality time bonding with their caregiver, as well as growing their social skills by interacting with other tots at the class.
So why not find out more at the upcoming Open Day for Term 2 at Gunnamatta Pavilion, Cronulla on Saturday 1st April, 9am-12pm. MOTS readers will receive a 10% off if they sign up on Open Day.
