Lauren Downes – International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with Nurtured Medical
Lauren is a Registered Midwife, Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and an accredited Child and Family Health Nurse. She has had over 10 years of experience in the health and childcare industry and has worked extensively in both the public and private healthcare sectors.
Lauren is passionate about caring for women through their transition to motherhood. As a mother of two herself, she understands the importance of receiving care that is personalised and delivered in a comforting and nurturing way. She is also passionate about delivering evidence- based care.
Lauren offers home visit consultations for postnatal feeding support and antenatal breastfeeding education (appointments during pregnancy, to prepare for breastfeeding and postpartum. She works closely with Dr Eliza Hannam, who is a GP and founder of Nurtured Medical in Leichhardt, Sydney. Lauren's postnatal feeding support consultations include a follow up Telehealth appointment with Eliza, to address any medical concerns.
Lauren offers home visit appointments in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire, Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and other areas on request. She is available on Wedesdays and some Mondays.
