We spoke to a few local mums (who have nailed the room sharing thing) and asked them to give us the low down on what having a sibling as a roommate means for your child, and how you can make sharing a bedroom a great experience for everyone.

If you’re beached out and looking to escape the heat you can’t go wrong with the latest flick, a bucket full of popcorn and some much needed air conditioning! A fun film will keep your kids entertained for at least a couple of blissful hours, or longer, if you’re lucky!

I walked into my kid’s playroom on Boxing day and surveyed the scene. Toys occupied every available space – a play kitchen, riding toys, stuffed animals, arts and crafts, balls, bats, puzzles spread from one side of the room to the other and colourful containers full of bits and pieces (AKA crap). With no cupboards in the room, playthings were piled against walls, overflowing shelves, and crammed in every nook and cranny.
