Motherhood is a rollercoaster. That has become one of my new mantras. It reminds me of the highs and lows us mums face..

The saying goes ‘When your child is born your heart goes from inside your chest to on your sleeve’. God don’t we know it.

We spoke to Hanan Saleh, the Director of The Food Expert, to help us overcome these ‘fussy eater’ issues and help shift the whole household’s attitude to eating into a more positive one.

We spoke to a few local mums (who have nailed the room sharing thing) and asked them to give us the low down on what having a sibling as a roommate means for your child, and how you can make sharing a bedroom a great experience for everyone.

I walked into my kid’s playroom on Boxing day and surveyed the scene. Toys occupied every available space – a play kitchen, riding toys, stuffed animals, arts and crafts, balls, bats, puzzles spread from one side of the room to the other and colourful containers full of bits and pieces (AKA crap). With no cupboards in the room, playthings were piled against walls, overflowing shelves, and crammed in every nook and cranny.
