A local Sutherland couple has revealed how something as simple as changing up bedroom décor can spice up your relationship.
Adam and Tara have been married for ten years and now have three kids, so finding time for each other is tougher than pooing in private.
Adam, an up-at-the-crack-of-dawn tradie, typically passes out on the lounge in the evening, before he’s sent to bed for snoring louder than the television.
With a cheeky twinkle in his eye Adam told The MOTS Mail, “When I jump into bed, I sometimes throw all the cushions on the floor and turn down her side of the doona.”
“Other days, though, I just jump into bed and leave some or all of the cushions on her side and only remove my own! Mixing things up is key.”
As proud as a parent whose child has just done their first poo on the potty, he adds “It’s the little things, ya know.”
“She never knows WHAT to expect when she climbs into bed in the dark.”
Adam modestly admitted that he can’t take all the credit, though, as some days Tara surprises him by never putting the decorative cushions back on the bed in the morning to begin with.
“Everybody likes surprises,” says Tara “and it’s my way of showing that I still care too.”
“All it takes to keep the spark in a relationship is a little bit of variety and a few IKEA cushions.” Tara grins as if she’s unlocked the secret to multiple orgasms.
“To reignite what goes on between the sheets, you just need to give more attention to what’s on top of them.” Adam chimes in.
“Blokes that think cushions you can’t sleep on are a waste of money could learn a thing or two from us.”
