A Family-Friendly Day Out at The Prince Hotel

The Prince Hotel in Kirrawee brings together family dining, a great cocktail list, kids’ activities and an easy party setup.

by MUMS OF THE SHIRE

A catch-up with friends and the kids, a quiet family lunch or a birthday celebration, The Prince Hotel in Kirrawee is one to add to the list.

The venue has a dedicated kids’ play area beside the dining space, regular activities throughout the month and a food and drinks menu that gives parents plenty to choose from too. Its cocktail list is a highlight, making The Prince just as well suited to a long lunch with friends as it is to an easy family meal.

There has also been a welcome update outside. The Prince’s car park has reopened with double the previous number of spaces, and a large section is undercover. It makes arriving and finding a spot much simpler, particularly on busy weekends or wet-weather days.

Family Dining with the Play Area Close By

The kids’ area includes basketball hoops, a slide and plenty of open space for play.

Tables are positioned alongside it, so families can book a spot close to the action and enjoy lunch or drinks while keeping an eye on the kids. It is a practical layout for catching up with other families, settling in for a weekend lunch or stopping by for an afternoon drink.

Alongside the kids’ menu, adults can order from The Prince’s full menu and choose from a strong line-up of cocktails, wines and other drinks. The combination makes it a venue that suits the whole group, rather than a place chosen for just one part of the family.

Free Kids’ Activities Every Sunday

There is something extra happening for children every Sunday from 12pm to 2pm.

The Prince runs a rotating program of free activities, including slime making, balloon twisting, face painting and reptile zoo visits. The line-up changes regularly, so families can check the upcoming schedule and choose a Sunday that suits them.

It is a great addition to a weekend lunch and a good reason to return, especially when a favourite activity is coming up.

You can view the upcoming activities planned on their website under ‘Kids Sundays’.

Mother’s Mondays with Messy Makers

On the first Monday of every month, The Prince hosts Mother’s Mondays from 10am.

The morning includes a special breakfast menu, with sensory play run by Messy Makers for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. It is an easy venue for mothers’ groups, friends with little ones or anyone looking for a relaxed weekday breakfast with an activity already organised for the kids.

An Easy Venue for Kids’ Parties

The Prince is also a great option for children’s birthday celebrations.

Party seating can be arranged beside the play area, and kids’ platters are available for $20 per child. Food options include popcorn chicken and chips, wedges, mini hot dogs, pizzas, party pies, sausage rolls and spring rolls.

With the party table, food and play area all together, families can keep the setup simple while still creating a celebration the kids will love. Adults can also order from the regular food and drinks menu during the party.
