Jamaica Blue opened its first café in Miranda more than 25 years ago, and has been proudly offering local mums a place to retreat and recharge ever since.
Local franchisee, Gary Verma has been running Jamaica Blue on Level 2 in the Miranda Fair Foodcourt for the past two years, and loves being part of the Shire community. He said: “People here are very loyal, and we have a host of regulars that feel like our extended family. We like to think there is a warm and welcoming atmosphere at our café.”
Gary also knows how discerning Shire people can be about their coffee: “They are so passionate about it, and if it’s not up to standard they will go elsewhere, so we are dedicated to making the perfect cup every time, to ensure they want to return.
“Our coffee comes from The Blue Mountains… Of Jamaica, that is. Our signature blend is full bodied, and creamy with chocolaty notes. Our coffee has won a number of prestigious awards.”
Gary is keen to add that local Mums and bubs are always welcome at the café, and is even planning to introduce some activities for little ones later in the year. “We’ve got a great kids menu, and of course babyccinos are always flowing. All our food is made fresh on site from good-quality, fresh local ingredients. The avo smash with maple bacon is definitely the stand-out favourite. We go through a LOT of avocados each week!”
