If you start Googling “What to do with…” the top response is “What to do with kids in Sydney”.
Sure, it’s closely followed by “What to do with egg yolks?” And to that, I say scramble. Solved.
But let’s get back to the more difficult question that we hear so often from local mums who are trying to stop themselves from going mad at home.
As much as we love our children, many people don’t love doing the same thing week in and week out and this is especially true for stay at home mums who seldom get to have conversations with people their own age.
So most people try to get out of the house with their children to mix things up. If that’s what you have in mind you should definitely start by checking out our What’s On or Out and About pages. They’re full of great kid-welcomed places to head within the Sutherland Shire.
What if there were a way though, to ensure you never fell into a routine at home? An approach to entertaining kids that encourages them to be creative, seek out new activities and learn about an endless variety of subjects- while doing the same for you!
The good news is: there is. The great news is: it will cost you next to nix.
We’re calling it Busy Kids and the idea is simple. Each week, we’ll select a theme that inspires a range of new and exciting activities that you can do with your kids, at home, out and on-the-go.
Instead of returning to the same playground every week, reading the same books, and playing the same games (or watching Frozen for the 187454790th time), you’ll have a new, regularly changing focus that will inspire everything you do with your kids. Because let’s face it, we all know where the green sheep is.
Focusing on pre-schoolers and early primary school children, the weekly article will guide you through themed ideas, including excursions, playlists, books, games, podcasts, experiments, shows, crafts and recipes that you can try out with your kids so that you never have to hear “Mum, I’m bored” again.
